last weekend we had the opportunity to get outdoors and gaze at nature's beauty. the aspens weren't at their peak yet, due to the unseasonably warm weather we've had, but nonetheless still pretty.
I just love it here.
as I was taking this picture, here is what people had to say:
Phoebe- "I don't wanna have my picture taken."
Ella- "mom, take a picture of me. TAKE A PICTURE OF ME MOM! MOM, over here!"
Sawyer- "there's something yucky on this tree. and I have to go pee like REALLY bad."
and there you have it. a quick peek at the "behind the scenes" action. take 5.
uh, except if you're a grumpy old man, that is.
well, Gary is off to camp with the boys. and he volunteered to take Rowan, bless his heart. (which is basically just a polite way of saying you're crazy dude.) but, hey. I'm not going to argue.
wait a second. did you hear that? no? oh! there it was again! I can barely make it out, but I believe it was the shopping center calling my name!
have a great weekend!

I just love everything about your blog.
Stunning color along with lazy family days of memory building. Your kids are so lucky to have you.
We wanted to come look at fall colors this weekend, and this looks like the perfect place! Is this a stroller accessible hike?
yes, anita, it is--well, I should say if you have a stroller with big rubber wheels. the dirt is pretty well packed but there are rocks in some spots. it's called veit springs and is located off snowbowl road. if you are looking to do a scenic drive, I would suggest forest service road 151, located off N180. it brings you along the north side of the peaks and has phenomenal views! have fun! :)
