first, I have to admit that I laughed out loud at the comments on yesterday's post. crazy how nicknames start and that some of them actually stick around for years and years. a few of the guys I hung out with in my younger days had nicknames, and half the time I never even knew their real name.
anywho, I took a random smattering of photos during winter services weekend, so thought I'd share them with you. these are all candid snapshots, nothing too spectacular. I'm going to leave it up to you to determine who's who. if it helps at all, quite a few of them are my kiddos and I may or may not claim to be related to a couple of them. oh just kidding guys.
also, I have to say that once again we thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. it's always refreshing and uplifting to be surrounded by so many friends in faith. I find it hard to leave, to go out and face the "big, bad" world again, where temptations and doubts so often oppress, making the journey difficult. we can only pray and trust that God will watch over our small flock here in northern Arizona.
on a more humorous note, I had to laugh when my SIL Kim related this story to me (I did share this on facebook, but in case you missed it, here ya go): apparently Sawyer (age 8) announced to his uncle Keith at services that "my dad got a BIG, FAT raise." huh? as far as I know there haven't been any big, fat raises around here, but I'm secretly hoping the kid has extra sensory perception or something because hey! a big, fat raise sounds pretty nice! kids say the funniest things sometimes. LOL.
enjoy!
the end.
it's supposed to be in the 50's tomorrow, so I'm hoping to FINALLY spray paint my Goodwill find from-- I hate to admit this-- last fall. eep. at the time though, I didn't really know what I wanted to do with it. typical me, buy something on a whim and then oops, try to figure out where to put it. anyway, stay tuned next week for the before and after. there, how's that for accountability? nothing like a promise to give me that extra incentive to get it done. I better get on it!
have a great weekend y'all!
