boo hooooo.

sniffle.  honk.  wheeze.

Grandpa and Grandma left this morning.  waaaaah!

it was so much fun having them here.  but, sadly, all good things must come to an end.  and it really wouldn't be fair to the rest of the family if we held them hostage here, now would it?  didn't think so.

over the course of the six weeks they were here, Grandma did LOTS of knitting.  in fact after I saw this darling owl hat, I showed it to her and politely asked-- okay flat out demanded that she make one for Scarlett.  kind of as a trial run, you know, to see if it would turn out or not. (duh, I knew it would:)

anyway, yesterday found us in beautiful Sedona with Andy and Kelly and Grandpa and Grandma, one last hurrah before we bid them farewell.  and so I brought along the owl hat because, well, I just couldn't pass up a photo op.

as well as an opportunity to show it off.  is this not the cutest little thing you ever did see?

well, after Scarlett, that is.

happy trails, Grandpa and Grandma!  and we'll look forward to seeing you next year!

(Sedona pics to follow.)

Little Scarlett doesn't look so little in these pics. In the first pic she looks like big bro Rowan!

I saw this hat at gap and LOVED it, and tried it on my baby. 28$ was too much for me though! Lucky you to have someone make it for you!
